1. Your Contract with Us

1.1. In these Booking Conditions:

  • Company”, “we”, “GF” or “us” means Gulf Air B.S.C. (c) operating as "Gulf Air".
  • “You”, “Your” means the Passenger.
  • “Contract” means the contract for the booking of the Stopover Package between the Company and the Passenger.
  • “Conditions” means this Booking Conditions.
  • “Hotel” means a hotel that forms part of the Stopover Package.
  • “Destination Manager” means the company that is responsible for the Stopover Package excluding Flights and that becomes your contractual party for these elements of your Stopover Package.
  • “Activity Provider” the company that provides any of the activities booked as part of your Stopover Package.
  • “Stopover Package” means the combination of Flight, Hotel, airport transfer and Activity.
  • “No Show” means the omission of presenting yourself in time for check-in or at the gate for your Flight with the result that your booking is cancelled in accordance with our Conditions of Carriage.
  • Activities means any of the activities or tours that form part of your Stopover Package.

1.2. These Booking Conditions form the sole basis of the contract between you and us. By continuing your booking you agree to these Booking Conditions and your contract will be governed exclusively by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Courts of Bahrain shall have exclusive jurisdiction to govern any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with the contract.

1.3. These Booking Conditions apply equally to you and to all persons named in your booking. When you make your booking you guarantee that you have the authority to accept and do accept on behalf of your party the terms of these Booking Conditions. The lead person on the booking must be at least 21 years old.

1.4. We may change these Booking Conditions at any time at our sole discretion.

2. DISCLAIMER

2.1 Your Stopover Package may consist of a combination of Flight, Hotel Stay, airport transfer and Activities. Please be aware that Gulf Air is only responsible for Flights on Gulf Air’s network. Any other service that form part of your Stopover Package such as Hotel accommodation, airport transfer and Activities are the sole responsibility of the respective Destination Manager, Hotel or Activity Provider. Gulf Air acts only as a facilitator to allow you to combine the booking of your Stopover Package through one single channel. By continuing with your booking you will be redirected and enter into a direct contract for elements of your Stopover Package with any of a Hotel, Destination Manager and/or Activity Provider and Gulf Air disclaims any liability or responsibility for any of these entities.

2.2 You agree to indemnify and to hold Gulf Air, its officers, employees, directors and agents, guests (together the ”Beneficiaries”) harmless from any and all claims, suits, fines, actions or demands and against all liabilities, damages, costs and expenses (including, without limitation, and on a full indemnity basis, all legal and other professional fees associated therewith) arising directly or indirectly from the provision of the services of a Hotel, Destination Manager, Activity Provider or any party other than us.

3. How to Book and Enter Bahrain

3.1. You can only book a Bahrain Stopover on www.gulfair.com or through Gulf Air’s World Wide Contact Centre. All featured Hotels and, Activities are subject to availability.

3.2. Payments must be made by credit card through Gulf Air’s World Wide Contact Centre, and on www.gulfair.com. Payments can be made by credit cards and debit cards for selected countries. Payments made by credit card may incur surcharges.

3.3 A booking will be created for the Flight tickets and Stopover Package, and payment will be collected accordingly. The actual Stopover Package details will be confirmed and communicated to you to you at a later point in time.

3.4. It is important to check your Bahrain Stopover itinerary to make sure that all the details are exactly as you requested. In the event of any discrepancy, please contact Gulf Air’s World Wide Contact Centre or send an email to stopover@gulfair.com immediately as it may not be possible to make changes later.

3.5. Where you make a booking directly with us, communications will be sent to the email address you provided at the time of booking.

3.6 Upon arrival at Bahrain International Airport you are requested to approach the Gulf Air transfer desk for the issuance of the relevant documents and Visa. Please be aware that we are unable to guarantee your entrance into Bahrain as the final decision for your eligibility to enter the Kingdom of Bahrain is entirely subject to the immigration authority’s discretion. In case you are denied entry to Bahrain by Immigration Authorities, Gulf Air will endeavour to re-accommodate you by rebooking your Flight to your next destination or to return you to your point of origin. In that case, a refund of the Stopover Package will be given to you. Tickets for rebooked Flights will be subject to Gulf Air’s applicable fare rules. You are responsible for and must ensure that you have the necessary arrangements for accommodations, etc. at your final destination in case you are re-accommodated to an earlier flight at your subsequent destination due to denial of your entry into the country by Bahrain’s immigration authorities or any other unforeseen reasons.

3.7. If you are No Show for your Flights or you are denied exit from the point of origin you will not be entitled for a refund of the Stopover Package and the normal Gulf Air ticket fare rules will apply to any changes to you Flight. 3.8 Please be aware that the Bahrain Stopover Packages are currently only available for those customers that are eligible for a Visa on Arrival as determined by Bahrain’s Nationality, Passport & Residence Affairs. It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet those requirements and enter your information pertaining to your nationality and other details correctly as you are creating the booking.

4. Prices

4.1. We reserve the right to alter the prices of any of the hotels, excursions and other services shown on our website, in our brochures and other literature.

4.2. Before you make a booking we will give you the up-to-date price of your chosen Bahrain Stopover package including the cost of any supplements, upgrades or additional facilities which you have requested.

4.3. The price of any Bahrain Stopover package includes only the items specified in your booking. Unless otherwise specified, it does not include items of a personal nature including, but not limited to, travel insurance, meals (other than breakfast), optional excursions, passport, visas, cots and food for infants, laundry, room service, minibar and hotel extras (including early/late check-in/check-out fees), hotel car parking (where applicable) or gratuities.

4.4 We will collect the full price for the entire Stopover Package from you.

5. Changes or Cancellations and Refunds

5.1 If, after your contract with us has come into existence, you wish to change your booking in any way, we will endeavour to accommodate these changes but it may not always be possible to do so. All changes are subject to availability and price adjustments. Any request for changes must be made in writing from the lead person on the booking. You will also be required to pay any increase to the cost of your booking as a result of your changes.

5.2 Certain travel arrangements may not be amended after they have been confirmed and any alteration could incur a cancellation charge of up to 100% of that part of the arrangements.

5.3 You, or any of your party, may cancel your travel arrangements at any time up to 72 hours prior to arrival without any penalty. Written notification from the lead person on the booking must be received at our offices. Since we incur administration costs in cancelling your travel arrangements you will be required to pay the applicable cancellation charge up to the maximum shown in the table below. Charges for cancellations are calculated from the date we receive your request or notification.

5.4 If you make changes to your Flight booking such changes must be aligned with the duration of the Stopover Package and changes to all the elements of the Package must be made simultaneously. You are not permitted to extend or increase the duration of your stay in Bahrain without having booked a Stopover Package for the entire duration of your stay in place.

5.5 Gulf Air fare rules will be applied for flight changes. If the fare rules allow changes then additional payment will be collected from you for the additional fares following the fare rules as they are published subject to flight availability. If the Gulf Air fare rules do not allow changes then no changes will be accepted on the Stopover Packages if these changes require Flight changes.

5.6 Changes to your Stopover Package are permitted only based on the available defined Stopover Packages and any additional amount will be charged and collected from the Passengers by Gulf Air’s World Wide Contact Centre and charged to your credit card. No refund will be granted for changes in packages that result in lower amount than originally booked.

5.7 Separate cancellation charges may be applicable for certain arrangements (e.g. tours and Activities) and during peak periods (e.g. public holidays, exhibitions and special events, Eid holidays, Christmas and New Year).

5.8 No refund will be made for any part of your booking that has not been utilized (e.g. breakfast, activities or other services).

5.9 Refund claims should be requested within 30 days of completion of your Bahrain Stopover. Refunds will be based on the same form of payment used for creating the booking and may take up to 60 days.

5.10 It is unlikely that we will need to make any alteration to your travel arrangements but sometimes circumstances change and alterations have to be made. We reserve the right to change your booking at any time.

5.11 If we make a major change we will advise the lead person on the booking as soon as reasonably possible. A major change is one that we make to your booking before your departure that affects an essential term of your contract. Examples of a major changes made by us include (but are not limited to):

  1. a change of accommodation to that of a lower official classification for the whole or a major part of your Bahrain Stopover, or
  2. a change to the overall length of your Bahrain Stopover.

5.12 If we make a major change we will offer you the choice of the following options:

  1. accepting the changed arrangements; or
  2. accepting substitute arrangements of comparable standard from us if available; or
  3. cancelling your booking and receiving a full refund of all monies paid to us for the booking.

Should the change result in an extension of your stay, you might be accommodated for the additional time in a different hotel subject to availability.

You must tell us which one of the above choices you wish to make within 72 hours of being informed of the major change we are making. If we do not receive notification from you about your choice within 72 hours you are deemed to have accepted the option specified in 5.12(a).

We shall not be liable for any changes to or cancellation of your Bahrain Stopover due to events beyond our control. Examples of events beyond our control include, but are not limited to, war or threat of war, riot or civil disturbance, political unrest, terrorist activity or threatened terrorist activity, industrial disputes or threatened industrial disputes, strikes, fire, floods and other natural disasters, nuclear disasters, adverse weather conditions, acts of God, acts of government, closure of airports, failure of a carrier, a hotelier or other person to operate services for any reason.

6. Our Liability To You

6.1. Our obligation is to take reasonable skill and care in the performance of our contractual obligations, subject to and in accordance with these Booking Conditions.

6.2. The Company is not itself a provider of Hotel accommodation, ground services, tours or Activities nor does it control the third parties who provide such services in connection with your Bahrain Stopover Package.

6.3. We do not accept liability for any injury, illness, death, loss, damage, expense, cost or other claim of any description whatsoever which results from (i) the act(s) and/or omission(s) of the person(s) affected or any member(s) of their party; or (ii) the act(s) and/or omission(s) of Destination Manager, Hotel, Activity Provider or a third party not connected with the provision of your arrangements and which were unforeseeable or unavoidable; or (iii) events beyond our control (as defined in clause 5.14.)

6.4. The elements of your Stopover Package other than Flights featured on our website are posted and controlled by third parties, such as Destination Manager, Hotel and Activity Providers. We will not be liable for any claims that such Hotels or Activities booked at your express request do not satisfy your expectations.

6.5. Your booking for elements of the Stopover Package other than Flights are serviced by providers of accommodation, car rental companies, catering and other parties who have their own booking conditions of carriage and business and over whom we have no direct control. Their booking conditions may strictly limit the circumstances in which compensation is payable to you by them and you agree to be bound by their booking conditions. Such booking conditions are available from these third parties directly upon request.

6.6. Air travel is subject to various International Conventions that limit the liability of the carriers. International Conventions which may apply include, without limitation, the Warsaw Convention 1929 (as amended) or the Montreal Convention 1999. The carriage by air of passengers and their baggage is in addition subject to the Conditions of Carriage of the carrier concerned. With respect to Gulf Air flights, please refer to the Conditions of Carriage for Passengers and Baggage, available on www.gulfair.com.

6.7 Save as set out above and as is detailed elsewhere in these Booking Conditions, we shall have no legal liability whatsoever to you for any loss or damage.

7.Your Responsibilities

7.1. You must ensure that you and all members of your party have valid passports, visas, certificates of vaccination and any other documents required to enter any country you are visiting, including transit stops, prior to your departure. We cannot accept responsibility for any failure to comply resulting in any costs or fines being incurred and we advise you to check with the appropriate passport office(s) or consulate(s) in question if you have any queries.

7.2. For your own protection, we strongly recommend that you and all members of your party have comprehensive travel and medical insurance for the full period of your Bahrain Stopover. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover you purchase is suitable and adequate for your particular needs.

7.3. If, in our reasonable opinion or the reasonable opinion of the provider of any part of the services to which your booking relates, your behaviour or the behaviour of any member of your party is disruptive, threatening or abusive, causes unnecessary inconvenience or is causing or likely to cause danger, damage, distress or upset, disturbance or annoyance to others or others’ property, we may terminate your travel arrangements without any liability on our part. No refunds will be made and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of the termination.

7.4. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are fit to travel and participate in all parts of the services you have booked and undertaken.

Complaints

8.1. We are committed to offering our valued customers the highest standard of product and consistent service delivery. Should you have a complaint, kindly inform the Destination Manager immediately who is providing the Stopover Package.

8.2. If you fail to follow this procedure, we will have been deprived of the opportunity to investigate and rectify your complaint during your Bahrain Stopover package and this may affect your rights under this contract.
